CityTalks – People First: working together for a strong, just and inclusive society

At this CityTalks event, hear from Mary Robinson – former President of Ireland, former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, President, The Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice, and one of Nelson Mandela’s eight Elders, an independent group of global leaders working together for peace and human rights.

Mary is a forceful advocate for human rights, ending extreme poverty, fighting inequality and injustice and addressing climate change.

Mary will be joined by other key speakers including Stan Grant, SKY NEWS International Editor, to discuss how governments, business and people can work together to create strong, just and inclusive societies with the wellbeing of all citizens at its core.

If we address inequality and focus on social inclusion will we create more resilient cities?

Their voices and your input will help guide the City of Sydney’s Social Sustainability Policy which will soon be released for community consultation.

Our future prosperity is a shared responsibility; we need global effort and local action.
