Join us in person for a transformative experience, designed specifically with and for parents of children with disabilities.
Embrace your unique journey, nurture your Self, and leave feeling inspired with practical tools to navigate the highs and lows of this specific kind of parenting.
Throughout our highly interactive workshop, we provide practical tools and self-care practices that can be easily integrated into daily life. While exploring the whole self, nervous system regulation, vulnerability, strengths and reframing our language, we also make sure to highlight the importance of ‘collecting the good stuff’ and having fun; reminding parents that joy is a crucial element of self-care!
This workshop is facilitated by passionate educator and mentor, Nicole Newton whose son acquired a brain injury at birth. Nicole has 18 years of lived experience navigating the unique challenges of parenting a child with disability. Through her journey, she discovered that self-nurture isn’t a luxury but a necessity. Drawing from her personal life and professional coaching and facilitation experiences, combined with insights from other parents of children with disabilities and her colleagues at PDCN, Nicole developed this workshop to help parents on similar paths feel seen, heard, and valued while sharing practical self-nurturing strategies so vital to enhancing our capacity to support those in our care.
If we can’t answer your questions during the session, we can still provide individual peer mentoring to discuss things further, so feel free to contact us here or call 1800 688 831.
