Accessible locations for Sydney NYE available

PDCN has received the following message from the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet

The Cahill Expressway, above Circular Quay is one of Sydney’s best spots to view the Sydney NYE Fireworks.

Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) hosts a free, family friendly, alcohol and glass free event on the Cahill Expressway each year, with a dedicated accessible viewing area.

Ticket holders are treated to spectacular views of the eastern side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Pylons and the western side of the Sydney Opera House.

The event has two separate sessions, corresponding with the 9pm and midnight fireworks.

The site allows guests with disability or mobility support requirements the option of priority access and a choice between an inclusive designated reserved area for viewing the show, or the option to mix with other spectators in the general viewing area.

The family friendly site is appropriate for people with a range of access requirements. Accessible toilets are provided.

If you would like to register for the site or would like further details on other free accessible viewing areas including the Sydney Opera House on NYE please contact:
