This March, PDCN is teaming up with Action for People With Disability (ACTION) and Disability Advocacy (DA) to help further empower you and the disability community in the Central Coast.
Join us for our free workshops and info sessions, to network and lunch with the disability community, and add your voice to our community advocacy conversations.
NOTE: Morning and afternoon tea, lunch and dinner (where relevant) are included in the stated times. Registration is required for catering purposes.

Day 1: Tuesday 3 March, Tumbi Umbi
Venue: Mingara Recreation Club, 12-14 Mingara Dr, Tumbi Umbi NSW 2261
10am – 1pm: Speaking Up (3 hours, morning tea included)
- Enhance your interpersonal skills, effective communication, and self-advocacy strategies, with a focus on success!
1pm – 2pm: Meet & Mingle @ Lunch (1 hour)
- Come have a bite, relax and chat with other people with disabilities, parents and carers.
2pm – 3pm: NDIS Series: What’s Changed?* (1 hour followed by afternoon tea)
- Keep informed and understand some of the major changes to the NDIS and how they may impact you.
3.30pm – 4.30pm: NDIS Series: What Can I Buy?* (1 hour)
- Better understand how to spend your funding. Discover things you didn’t know NDIS plans could buy!
*Note: Our NDIS Sessions can be attended on their own or as a set.
Day 2: Wednesday 4 March, Tumbi Umbi
Venue: Mingara Recreation Club, 12-14 Mingara Dr, Tumbi Umbi NSW 2261
10am – 10.45am: Clear Pathways, for parents of children with disabilities (45 mins)
- Better understand how to navigate the education system when your child has a disability.
11am – 1.30pm: Employability Edge (2.5 hours, morning tea included)
- Boost your confidence, uncover your transferable skills, and get the know-how and tools to gain and thrive in meaningful disability inclusive employment.
11am – 1.30pm: Connect & Flourish – for parents of people with disabilities (2.5 hours, morning tea included)
- Designed for parents of children with disabilities. Learn self-care tools to integrate easily into your daily life.
1.30pm – 2.30pm: Meet & Mingle @ Lunch (1 hour)
- Come have a bite, relax and chat with other people with disabilities, parents, carers and providers.
2.30pm – 5pm: Nurturing Self (2.5 hours, afternoon tea included)
- Explore evidence-based ways to regulate the nervous system, lean into strengths, reframe challenges and find joy in everyday moments.
5.30pm – 7.30pm: Amplifying Your Voice! (2 hours, dinner included)
- Have your say at our Community Consultations. Share your thoughts and experiences on issues facing people with disabilities and help us generate meaningful change.
Day 3: Thursday 5 March, Gosford
Venue: Gosford RSL Club, 26 Central Coast Hwy, West Gosford NSW 2250
10am – 11am: Empower Hour (1 hour, followed by morning tea)
- Understand how individual advocacy and individual mentoring (both free services) can help you overcome challenges, reach goals and be empowered for a better future.
11.15am – 1pm: Amplifying Your Voice! (1 hour 45 minutes, after morning tea)
- Have your say at our Community Consultations. Share your thoughts and experiences on issues facing people with disabilities and help us generate meaningful change.
