NSW The New
South Wales Opposition Leader Peter Debnam says if he
wins the next election he will boost funding for people
with disabilities.
He says the additional money will
be used to provide disability equipment for people with
disabilities.
Mr Debnam says funding will be
lifted from the current level of $22 million up to $35
million a year.
"One thing we need to do in New
South Wales is assist all those families who are just
struggling to make ends meet," he said.
"But especially people with
disabilities who need help to get wheelchairs and
appliances, and aids and they simply aren't getting
it.
"There is a long waiting list for
it because the program, the equipment program, is grossly
under-funded."
