Granville Railway Station Lifts
23 May 2003

John Raymond, a Granville resident has been speaking to the State Transit Authority for at least years in regards, along with many others, regarding the installation of lifts on Granville Station for the use of people with physical disability, as well many other people within the community who require access.

Recently, he was contacted by State Rail and given information regarding the delay of work on the access issues at Granville Train Station. John was informed that the lift could be available by December 2003. He was told that this is the 'completion date' on the Railways time schedule.

Delays to date, have been due to a number of issues for building construction and parts availability.

If you would like to voice your concern regarding the length of time, that this is taking, you can call 131500. This project was promised completed by the beginning of 2003, as seen in the Parramatta Sun in early 2003.
