Take control of the search for authenticity in dance

Accessible Arts is looking for volunteer Dance Committee members to drive and coordinate the Beyond Technique: Searching for Authenticity dance event in March 2010.

Beyond Technique is a 2-day masterclass taking place as part of the Arts-Activated Conference, aimed at dancers, choreographers and teachers who wish to learn about inclusive dance practice. The 2-day masterclass will be led by Philip Channells, Artistic Director  of Adelaide’s Restless Dance Theatre.

Philip has spent seven years working with Restless as a performer, workshop leader and assistant director. He has recently been working in the UK with dance companies such as Candoco, StopGAP and Corali.

Committee members will recruit participants, produce written content including artist profiles and web content, host and support participates, manage all access needs and document the project.

Participation is by application and is open to people with and without a disability.
