Originally
formed by its members in 1990 as the Australian
Paralympic Federation, the Australian Paralympic
Committee (APC) is the peak national body
responsible for Australias elite athletes
with a disability.

established in 1986 by Gary Blaschke after a
motorcycle accident which he lost his knee cap and
under went extensive rehabilitation.

Jindabyne
a
multi-faceted, self-help sporting organisation
founded in 1978 by Australia's first Paralympic
skier Ron Finneran and Canadian instructor Bruce
Abel. The purpose of DWA is to provide
opportunities for people with disabilities to enjoy
winter sports.
Riding
for the Disabled
Association
provide most
people with a disability, the opportunity to ride
and enjoy all the activities connected with horse
riding.
Sailors
with Disability
is
committed to changing society's perception of
people with disabilities. Harbour sailing, ocean
racing, the youth program and the inshore and
coastal training program are just some of the ways
of achieving this.
Rocks
Wheelchair Accessible Self Guided Walking
Tour
starts in
the park just outside of Circular Quay train
station and winds its way through the atmospheric
streets of the Rocks and Millers Point
districts. There are 9 stops along the way, where
youll listen to tales about the first
fleets landing, the horrific conditions at
Sydneys first hospital and gaol, the unruly
Rocks Push, Cadmans Cottage and
the inspired entrepreneur Robert Cambpell.
Water
Skiing
provides
information on water skiing for people with
physical disabilities & vision impairments.
Wheelchair
Sports NSW
based out
of Ryde, Sydney Australia. Supporting and
conducting a wide range of wheelchair sporting
events and programs for athletes of all ages and
skill levels, in Sydney and across most of the
state. Currently we cater for 14 different sports
including; Athletics, Tennis, Basketball,
Rugby.
